Every five years the Tasmania Together Progress Board conducts an extensive state-wide consultation process to identify the social, environmental and economic issues of most importance to Tasmanians. This review process enables the Progress Board to update the Tasmania Together Plan and ensure it continues to reflect community priorities.
Parliament approves New and Amended Benchmarks
In November 2011, the 10 Year Review Report to Parliament was approved by the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council. The Report contains the Progress Board's recommendations for improvements to the Tasmania Together Plan, including 29 new benchmarks and the removal or replacement of 25 benchmarks.
The new benchmarks were based on the outcomes from the consultation phase of the 10 Year Review of Tasmania Together. Some of the new areas for measurement include income distribution, social disorder, school attendance, infant health, homelessness, transport and renewable energy.

What the Community Said
As part of the 10 Year Review process last year, the Tasmania Together Progress Board asked Tasmanians for their views on what was important to them over the next 10 years. Over 5000 Tasmanians took part in the review.
The Board collated and summarised responses and provided a feedback report: What the Community Said back to the Tasmanian public. This report outlines the key findings arising from the community consultations.
